Private Medical Practise in Portobello, London

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mark Vanderpump, consultant Endocrinologist, to the Portobello Clinic. Mark will be consulting here on a weekly basis every Tuesday from 17:00.

Here is just a brief introduction about his professional qualifications, clinical experience and interests in diabetes and endocrinology.

Mark is a Consultant Physician and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust in London.  Prior to this he was a Consultant Endocrinologist at the North Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust. His training in general medicine and endocrinology was completed at posts in the West Midlands, North East England and North Staffordshire.

Mark’s NHS post includes clinical responsibilities for the development of endocrinology and diabetes services at the Royal Free Hospital and his main area of expertise is thyroid disease but his clinical practice includes all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology. Mark has published on various aspects of thyroid disease and is currently on the Executive Committee of the British Thyroid Association. Much of his time is spent in teaching and lecturing and he also undertakes medico-legal work within his specialty.
