Dr Jonathan White
Dr Jonathan White trained in medicine at the University of Manchester and the Universität des Saarlandes (Germany), having dual accreditation via the European Credit Transfer Scheme. He then worked in London and at the Medizinische Hochschule, Hannover, Germany. His specialist training in dermatology took place at King’s College Hospital, the Allgemeines Krankenhaus, Vienna and at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology. He has been the recipient of prizes by the Royal Society of Medicine, St. John’s Dermatological Society, the British Association of Dermatologists and was awarded the Dermatology GlaxoSmithKline fellowship in 2005.
Dr White is a Consultant Dermatologist with a special interest in cutaneous allergy and occupational skin disease at St. John’s Institute (Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals) in London. He has a particular research interest in allergic contact dermatitis and has published widely. He was the associate editor of Contact Dermatitis, established by the European Society of Contact Dermatitis. He sees a variety of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, infections, acne, sun-damaged skin, skin cancers and is happy to provide preventative mole checks. He has been working at the Portobello Clinic since 2007.
