Alison Durant graduated with a first class Honours degree from the College of Osteopaths in 2001 and has since worked in a variety of osteopathic practices and gyms, before establishing her own osteopathic practice in Kensal Rise, West London. She recently completed a ten month postgraduate training course with Gary Gray, PT, and Dr David Tiberio at the Gray Institute in the US – the foremost teaching institution for functional biomechanics – becoming a Fellow of Applied Functional Science.
In addition to private practice, Alison teaches osteopathic technique to undergraduate students at the British School of Osteopathy. Alison is passionate about educating her students and patients alike about functional biomechanics, and providing patients with practical home exercise programmes to improve their function.
Carry Triggs Hodge, M.Ost, F.AFS specialises in resolving chronic back pain with a 5+ year history. Typically working with women in their 40s whose pain affects their ability work, Carry helps to transform how the body functions in a way that enables patients to understand how to achieve an independent pain-free future, and avoid endless treatment. Where necessary she works closely with a multidisciplinary team of experts to ensure the best possible options for care.
Carry is fascinated by the role of biomechanics as part of a holistic approach to health, as well as motivational aspects of chronic problems and the impact of nutrition.
