Dr Nirmala Chakkalakal

Dr Chakkalakal graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2002. She gained a broad range of experience in hospital medicine prior to completing her GP training in London. She has expertise in Emergency, ENT and Critical care medicine, having spent years in Anaesthesia, Adult and Paediatric Intensive care including a stint with Children’s Acute Transport Service. She has incorporated this knowledge into her GP career where she continues to work sessions at an NHS surgery and at Chelsea and Westminster A&E.
Dr Chakkalakal is an experienced, confident and knowledgeable GP with a passion for delivery of excellent clinical care whilst ensuring a patient centred approach. She is a kind and conscientious doctor, a supportive team player and full of innovative ideas to improve patient care. She is also a firm proponent of Medical Education and has been involved in teaching varied groups of student and health care professionals including delivering Simulation training in India.
Dr Chakkalakal enjoyed a cosmopolitan upbringing being born in Germany before attending the British International School in Jeddah, before moving to the UK in her teens. As a result she developed a love for travel and exploring the world. Outside medicine she enjoys spending time with her tribe of God kids, walks in London’s beautiful parks or further afield, and a broad range of cultural activities.
