Dr Sarah Fan

Dr Sarah Fan has a specialist interest in dermatology and was awarded a distinction for her postgraduate diploma at Queen Mary’s University of London in Clinical Dermatology in 2021. In addition she has a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health having worked for 6months in a menopause clinic at Northwick Park Hospital and sexual health clinic previously, further completing the diploma of obstetrics and gynaecology.
She graduated from University of Birmingham Medical School in 2015. During her time at University she received several academic prizes for her achievements in pre-clinical years including the prestigious National Jean Shanks Award, a full academic scholarship to study a Bachelor’s in Clinical Sciences focusing on Cancer Research, of which she also received the academic prize for achieving the highest in the degree. Dr Fan has since been passionate about research and given presentations at British Transplant Society Conference, National Acute and General Medicine Conference and British Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes as well as publishing a paper on the Journal of Surgical Case Reports.
Sarah completed her hospital training at Imperial College NHS Trust – St Mary’s, Charing Cross, Hammersmith, and GP training at Northwick Park NHS Trust. Specialities included emergency medicine, internal medicine, elderly care, psychiatry, rheumatology, urology, paediatrics, gynaecology, and sexual health.
Sarah feels passionate about continuity of care, and importance of taking a holistic approach to ensure patients really understand their condition and treatments. She values the time spent with each patient and tries to find the right plans tailored to each person’s individual needs.
Outside of Medicine, she is trying to learn French and she is passionate about art and photography and paints acrylic and oil on canvas paintings, hoping to one day exhibit at the RA Summer Exhibition.
