Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, with around 1 in 8 men in the UK diagnosed at some point in their lives. The prostate itself is a small gland located just below the bladder, responsible for producing some of the fluid that makes up semen. As men get older, it’s normal for changes to occur in this gland; however, in some cases, these changes can develop into cancer.

One of the challenges with prostate cancer is that it often grows slowly and may not cause any symptoms in its early stages. When symptoms do appear, they can include difficulty passing urine, needing to go more often (especially at night), having a weak flow, or noticing blood in the urine or semen. However, many men with early prostate cancer feel completely well, which is why awareness, proactive monitoring, and timely screening are so important.

Who should consider prostate screening?

• Men over 50
• Men over 45 with a family history of prostate cancer
• Men who are of Black African or Caribbean heritage (higher risk)

What does the Prostate Cancer Screening Package include?

Our Prostate Cancer Screening Package is designed to give you clarity, reassurance, and rapid access to high‑quality diagnostics in one streamlined pathway:

• A 30‑minute consultation with an experienced GP

  You’ll sit down with one of our GPs for a thorough, unhurried discussion about your individual risk factors, symptoms, and concerns. This is your time to ask questions and understand the best approach for your prostate health.

• PSA blood test (Prostate‑Specific Antigen)

  Your GP will arrange a PSA blood test during your visit. This simple test can provide important early clues about prostate changes and helps guide next steps.

• Fast‑track referral for a prostate MRI

  We partner with HCA Healthcare UK to arrange a high‑quality prostate MRI quickly and seamlessly. This advanced imaging gives a detailed view of the prostate and helps detect any areas that may need further assessment, without unnecessary waiting.

• A dedicated follow‑up call

  Once all results are back, your GP will call you to explain the findings, answer your questions, and outline any recommended next steps. You’ll have clear information and a personalised plan.

The Prostate Cancer Screening Package is available for £450 for members and £505 for visitors. Please note that the MRI will be charged separately by HCA Healthcare UK.
